I am the one who originally posted about the crappy photo with the space disk earrings. It was terrible! Go see her new pic on voy 197397. Let me just say "WOW what a change!" She looks beautiful. I love the shorter hair. It's a great look for her. She now has one of the best, if not the best, pictures posted. Congratulations

Got a call about this message board what someone wrote on it. This note is for the person who is talking about our pageant being terrible. I have had numerous number of calls that they loved the pageant. That we steped out of the box and did something different instead of the same oh same oh. In such a short time to do this there is always room for improvement. Be strong enough to put your name beside the comment you made. We can find out who wrote this. Will say a prayer for you.

I do not have anyone competing for a title nor am I a jealous LED, I was merely an audience member that had 3 friends crowned that night., Monday, November 16, 05:41:17pm
  • Re: Miss Easley, Liberty and Pickens -- You had the moderater take down the post because it upset you...This is America we are entitled to our own opinions? It didn't say anything bad about you as a person, anything bad about the contestants, just that the concept was grea, although the production was terrible in parts. To the LED's of Easley, Liberty and Pickens Pageant. Went to the ELP pageant. It was fantastic. Got great girls and loved, loved, loved the opening number. Ran smoothly and everyone is talking about what a great job the production team did. Must be jealous people out their worried about them who said it wasn't good. We all know better. Program book was great too. '

You all did a great job, be proud of yourselves.

The Miss Greater Mauldin Scholarship Pageant Committee would like to congratulate the new Miss Greater Mauldin Teen 2010, Allie Thompson (also physical fitness award winner) and Miss Greater Mauldin 2010, Ktistin Smith (also talent winner) for their wins last night. Both young ladies did an amazing job and we look forward to their preparation for success at Miss South Carolina Teen and Miss South Carolina in July of 2010.

We would also like to thank and congratulate each teen and miss participant who competed. We enjoyed each contestant's drive and attitude! Our first runner-up in teen and talent winner was Lauren Waynick, our first runner-up in miss was Sarah Clough, and our swimsuit winner in miss was Devon Thurman.

And of course, thank you to our outgoing representatives, Miss Greater Mauldin Teen 2009, Leslie Spearman and Miss Greater Mauldin 2009, Desiree Puglia. We are proud of both young ladies for their representation throughout this past year and their success at Miss South Carolina Teen and Miss South Carolina this past July.

We hope each attendee enjoyed the production and stage, Thriller - A Tribute to the Music of Michael Jackson. Thanks for taking time to attend, and we look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming local pageant competitions.

Hello again! Just wanted to send out a reminder about the Beauty Queen Boot Camp. I am really excited about starting this event. I know there seems to be alot of contraversy regarding pageants, etc. But lets not forget the wonderful oppurtunities that these girls can learn by competing. It takes alot to get up on a stage and present yourself in a phase of competition whether it be evening gown, ss or talent. Lets also not forget how nerve- racking it can be to be interviewed in person by strangers. And of course all of those extra neccessities just to paricipate in a pageant can be overwhelming! I have been in the bottom five and the top five. So I understand not knowing what to do, to having learned the experience needed to do well in a pageant. But through it all, look at former queens who have done so well for themselves after they are through competing. The confidence they have gained has only encouraged them to chase after their dreams and goals with more desire and compassion. My camp is only to help those in need, get a jump start and learn the basics. I truley do not want to see pageants die down. Not after everything that they have done for me personally and others as well. Please do not forget the big picture after the competition is all said and done. Regardless of the things we have to do to feel like it was "worth our time," we do need to have a goal to want to win and feel like we did accomplish something. So lets be supportive rather than assuming everything is wrong with pageants. There can only be one winner to win the title, but that is no reason the rest of us cannot walk away feeling as though we knew what we were doing, we gave it our all and walked away winning at heart. Please contact me if you are wanting to come to the camp. The deadline is October 19th. It is only $25! I will have professionals there and representatives from several different pageants. Thanks for taking the time to read my message! mbays79@aol.com

Hi, My name is Theresa Woods. I am the Local Executive Director of Miss Easley Pageant. Former director of the Pickens Pageant.

I do not get on this board to read only to advertise my pageant and Brooklynn's Boutique and Formal Wear. It was sad when I got a call about someone talking about Sarah Yates on the message board. Sarah is a beautiful women and very humble. Is she perfect no, Jesus is the only perfect one. Please don't talk about any of my girls past, present or future. If you need to get something off of your chest pleast call me my number is in the phonebook or email me. All contestants work hard to be in the Miss South Carolina Pageant Teen and Miss or any other pageant. It is a great experience not only to help build self confidence, but do wonderful things in their community, be a role model etc.
It's a shame that some souls don't have anything else to do but belittle young women who are trying to make something of themselves. If you don't like pageants, who won, who lost or whatever then stay of this board and get to work in your church, community or get a hobby. Beleive me, I love working with people, helping my community and being apart of something that means something to me and to others. Jesus put us here on earth for a reason and that is to go and spead the word about him and of his love for us. All the negative people on here should get down and ask to be forgiven. God loves you no matter what. If you do this it will turn your life around for the better. God Bless you all and you will be in our prayers.

Theresa Woods
Miss Easley Scholarship Pageant

Grace-filled thoughts are evidence of a grace-filled life.

Keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.
