This weather is too hot to have these young ladies standing out in the SUN for hours. Our Princess was sick all night from the heat yesterday and the mother of one of the Teens on our hotel floor said her daughter was still having a headache from almost passing out today. Columbia is a wonderful place, but it is too HOT to have the girls out in the heat. PARENTS, bring water, go buy some umbrellas and hats, do what you have to to protect your daughters from heat stroke.

- WE HAD TWO SICKS ONES LAST NIGHT ALSO.... AND SOME BLISTERING ON THE SHOULDERS.... NOT GOOD FOR SWIMSUIT NIGHT! -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 08:34:21am
- Why are they doing this to the young ladies again???? I thought after last year and the "feedback" they got from the LED's and parents they would not treat them like this again. Come on Miss SC, these are young ladies not cattle. -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 09:11:34am
- If you think they are being treated like cattle now, you were not around for the Sanders years! For some of you this may be your first year and this is simply how the week of Miss SC and Miss SC Teen is! If you can't handle one week of early mornings and appearances, how are you going to handle the job of Miss SC or Miss SC Teen? -- Been There, Done That, Sunday, July 08, 10:04:48am
- This is two years in a row, fool me once..... -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 11:34:18am
- Then don't participate -- It wasn't hours, it was less than an hour...let the drama begin, Sunday, July 08, 01:33:11pm
- You all need to get a grip. They were outside for maybe an hour yesterday. Today, it might have been 30 minutes max. If your daughter can't introduce herself or take a simple group picture outside, go home. She shouldn't be Miss SC or Miss SC Teen because you never know what situation you'll be thrown into. -- Pageant moms need to calm down. Don't blame the heat or the state staff., Sunday, July 08, 05:11:55pm
- You either don't have children or you don't care. Either way, you sound like someone who doesn't give a damn about anyone but yourself. -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 05:41:05pm
- and you all sound like a bunch of complainers who have nothing better to do than bitch all the time. The state staff has worked hard to make this an enjoyable week for your contestants and all anyone ever does is complain, whine and cry. If you cannot handle the situation, leave. -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 06:25:45pm
- We have as much right to express our opinions on here as you do. Why don't YOU leave, you cattle herder! -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 06:47:15pm
- This is a board for people to express concerns and opinions. I think that most parents will agree, this heat is not healthy for the girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 06:58:50pm
- My job as a mom is to protect my girls. If you don't understand that, please don't have kids. -- No name, Sunday, July 08, 07:43:21pm
- Haha! Gotta love Miss SC Pageant Week! Too much estrogen in one place can cause some problems! -- No name, Monday, July 09, 07:22:13am
- Then you would have never survived the years of the golf tournaments! -- No name, Monday, July 09, 12:22:46pm
- Wonder if the same moms that are complaining skipped the zoo because of the heat? Yes, it was hot, but they were not at the state house for more than hour. (NT) -- No name, Monday, July 09, 09:55:19pm
- Thats what happens when you have a bunch of dehydrated females standing in the heat. Most girls shed all their "water weight" for the pageant, so it doesnt take as much for them as it does for you and I. -- No name, Tuesday, July 10, 02:05:40am
