Subject: All this talk from a certain group on here that is desperately trying to discourage and discredit Miss SC has failed to take into consideration the ECONOMY. I know several girls whose families barely have enough money to pay bills anymore much less pay for pageants. Times are different. Gone are the days when daddy gave you the credit cards and told you to get what you need. Fathers, mothers and contestants are without jobs. I personally know people who would loved to compete but they must prioritize. Pageant participation is down everywhere - people have to survive.

Subject: why is there not enough contestants and so many prelims not having enough contestants and having to cancel until a later date.

Needs to make some big changes in the system if they want a big come back because it looks like there want be half as many contestants next year as this year and whose fault is that the whole system. I don't agree with letting leds judge a local preliminary because that judge may know one of the contestants and know that she is good but score her low just so she will not win becsuse they want her at their pageant. Then you have teens and misses who made top ten at state to compete in local prelims and the judges know that and you have a girl that is competing who is new but is really good but the girls that made top ten are always your winners you cannot compete against that. Also I think they should allow feed back from the judges how do you know how your child done if you cannot get any feedback from the judges so that you know what to work on to get prepared for the next preliminary. All of the pageants that we have done we have always got to talk to the judges and get feedback and as well as get their scores. The only one's is the state pageants that is why people think that the miss sc and the little miss is political if you have nothing to hide then show the scores and get rid of that top 5 ballot it is a shame that you have girls who have the highest scores in all phases of the competition but not as strong in interview and not win a title knowing she is so deserving of a crown because she has worked her butt off for a year to get ready for the prelims only to have her dreams crushed because she may not be as good in the interview part but has awesome talent beauty and physical fitness how do you explain that. This is my opinion and everybody is entitled to their opinion it is just so sad to sit back and watch this organization crumble because of favorites and politics. It should not be that way.

Totally agree with everything except I think talent percentage is too high. The interview is extremley important because these girls have to speak constantly. They speak far more often then they perform. Directors definelty should not be judges!!!!
