There seems to be a shortage of Upstate pageants. Could it be of all these double and triple crown pageants. It seems as if there are less locals.. am I wrong?

To be an LED and put on a local pageant takes $$$$, a lot of volunteer hours and more than one person. $500 local scholarship, cost of venu and sound system,$150 crown and banner, plus franchise fee. You need at least $2, 000 just to have the local. This doesn't include your cost to attend state which now is $500 CMN, hotel, gas, time, etc. once you have a queen.

Well with the Miss Liberty/Pickens preliminary the last LED Misty Merlin was her name I believe anyway I heard that she did some really bad thing's and then resigned in April 2015 and left the girl's hanging. I also heard that she kept a lot of the fundraising money for herself and the girl's didn't get what they were promised and should have gotten. So I am sure that after what she done to the city of liberty and to the girl's that the city of liberty would no longer sponsor anything that has to do with the pageant ever again. That LED just ruined that that local preliminary. What a shame that nothing was ever done at the state level to investigate and get to the bottom of what she had done or have her arrested.
