I had Miss evening gown between Tori Sizemore & Carson King and Teen evening gown between Greater Greer & Clemson.
[> Subject: I agree. Talent is on a very low level this year. i can only pick 3-4 talents that should make the finals...very sad.

[> [> Subject: What really scary is that some of the best girls in evening gown, OSQ really fell flat in talent. So it’s for me all jumbled up with a winner.

[> [> [> Subject: The quantity over quality model isn’t impressive. 15 or more in each division don’t have what it takes for state level competition. Too many candidates and so many are WEAK.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: that $60K was from one donor that specified the entire amount had to go to the winner. Don't give the leadership too much credit. The finances of this program are built on the backs of the contestants. Ad sales, hotel kick backs, CMN, ticket sales, people's choice. Give the credit where the credit is due.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I believe fluff being used here was in response to the above reference of quantity contestants And was actually being used to defend the program and it’s amazing ability to offer so much scholarships. Which would not be possible without the so called quantity contestants. And yes, aside from what they help contribute they also gain as well in new friendships, confidence and lifelong skills they takeaway from what they learn through their participation. And We have all seen girls who would have probably been considered quantity girls from you come back multiple times and improve each time. So it’s proof they grow and learn from the process.

[> Subject: I will take quality over quantity any day. But when folks keep running volunteers, production crews, sponsors, etc off and contact contestants before the pageant to see if wardrobe and talent are good to go, folks walk away when they see the ugly truth. The path of self destruction...history repeating itself just different players.

[> [> [> Subject: Obviously they do a great job. Our teen and miss winners go on to be successful bright young ladies and are able to continue their education from what’s offered here. And our program is able to offer 60k scholarship?!! And the production is amazing! I think they run a program better than any other state!! What more could you possibly want? I believe it wouldn’t matter who was in here running our state program you would never be satisfied.
