Subject: No such thing as past or future in matrix

I am not a computer whiz, but for those of you who are, then you will understand it when i say that programs are deterministic, which basically means that for every cause there is an effect...there is only one outcome that will happen. Thus, in the movie, everything or everyone is locked in a matrix of cause and effect. Since, for every cause the effect can be known at present and vice versa, there is no such thing as the past and future inside the matrix. There is only the present.

Think of it as a filmstrip, where the frame you are being shown is the 'present' and the previous frame is the 'past' and the next frame after the 'present' frame is the 'future.' In reality, there is only the present as the entire sequence of events exists as one and it's in the present. This is why Neo is having those dreams. He is understanding the matrix. This gets more complex though, as the line between the real world and the matrix gets blurred. As you may have read, in Enter the Matrix, the Oracle says something like "Neo is trapped somewhere between your world and this one."

The matrix is a complex system of interacting human brains and programs. In order for the matrix to work, an infinite amount of detail must be known about the human mind and computer programs in order to establish a deterministic and totally predictable alternate reality, the Matrix. The machines may think that they have us figured out since only 1% reject the matrix when given a choice, but really the infinite amount of inaccuracies in the understanding of the human mind and interactive programs result in catastrophic events in the long run (say 100 yrs Zion). The Architect has taken notice, and that is why the matrix gets reloaded every time the one appears. The Architect realizes that the artificial intelligence is not capable of making infinite measurements and providing infinite predictions. he knows that in complex systems, newton's laws don't apply in the long run. The catastrophies are avoided by leading the one to the source and starting the new version of the matrix.

Neo, is the manifestation of the inaccuracies. He has become what is ultimately unpredictable. He is the one who will have the ability to save humanity. Thus, while the matrix may be designed to be deterministic, it is certainly not necessarily completely predictable.
Blah, blah, blah

thanks
your input is welcome
