As it happens, when I had Blazer pulled out last year she had a few blisters that (to me at least) exhibited all of the symptoms of being osmosis related, when you burst them a foul ammonia smell came out etc. etc.

Anyway, when I had her surveyed for insurance purposes a couple of months ago I discovered that it wasn't osmosis as we know it at all, it was just minor blistering in the epoxy coating !

OK, the blisters were caused by the process of osmosis, but they weren't what is normally referred to as "Osmosis" because they weren't in the GRP itself, just the epoxy coating.

Technically you could say that Blazer had "Osmosis" but not as we know it ..... I say "had" as I removed all the blisters and re-applied epoxy where necessary before having her relaunched ....
