Did you mean that when Ocean Air takes the ground the bulb rises to touch the hull or the 8in rise to top of case (or both) is the limit?
My GRP cosmetic casing has 4in dia holes to access pin. I presume builder aimed approx for centre but this could be nullified by replacement stainless keel box which may or may not replicate original exactly. The pin location in keel box is in a sloped slot in keel box.
Godfrey's pin 'locking' on hydraulic leak is easily overcome by pump up to correct position though if you have my earlier prob of hydraulic bracket pulling out then ram is at end of travel and cannot raise to release pin.
I guess its a case of suck it and see for pin position!!
