What are your plans for the gas? Our cooker (original? immaculate) has no auto cut-off. Previous owner had the gas pipes renewed - he said by a specialist, but no paperwork.
Gas bottle sits in moulded shape in locker - no gas proof box, no vent. We could spend a lot on a locker box, and heaven forbid, drill a hole in the transom to vent to outside world - but surely the bigger danger area is the piping and cooker itself? We're inclined to leave it as it is and be very careful. Or replacing whole thing with a spirit stove would seem to make more sense than drilling a hole in the boat.
What have others done?
