I see your about to join the ts240 "why did I buy this boat" club. Its not a difficult job, just a bit dirty. I dont know where your getting your replacement keel box top from but if you look back through the archives there is the name and address of the block in Norfolk that I and several others have used. He has now made eight keel boxs. and is the best price I could fing for S/Steel rather than galvanised ( in fact he was cheaper. I have just done my keel with these nail gun thingys which was 2 days of grief. I know wished I had had some-one in to shot blast. oh well done know.
As far as re-wiring is concerned, I have done mine and found that due to the simplicity of the boat, then the only difficult bit is the lighting circuit. not from a wiring point of view, but becouse of the internal mouldings. the original cables are P40'ed onto the hull so it is impossible to use the old wires as draw throughs. (well mine were anyway). The rest of the systems I ran through the seat backs and screwed a large section of conduit under the cabin sole to do the crossing over bit from the battery to the panel and speaker cables, compass lights, auto helm power and cockpit light.
I dont know of any hand book, but thats becouse I havent noticed any-one mention one, rather than there not being one.
Have fun and I'm sure if you need advice or just moral support then just call. "I love work, I can advice others how to do it for hours"?????
