Dear Sirs

‘Surfing around the net’ I chanced upon your site.

I am (in the process of) buying an old 1982/3 TS 240 with manual (ie not hydraulic) lifting keel. She appears to be in relatively good shape and the vendor has replaced the keel housing/box with a new aluminium one. Are there any faults/areas that I should particularly be aware of? Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Also, 1) do you know the best place to purchase a new suit of sails at best price together with furling genoa, and 2) is it OK to leave her on a swinging mooring with her keel permanently down for extended periods – say 4 – 6 weeks?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Sincerely & regards

Alex
