We are now up to 5 votes since the reset, still not a true reflection of number of either this or the alternative forum visitors. The question posed by the poll is unequivocal, is the new format better than that in this forum? One would have to be blind not to see that it is. Even the poster who said he preferred the simplicity of this forum must see that the new is also simple and can be used in its simplest form. Nevertheless, the few (four) who did voice an opinion here were largely against a change. Two others only have expressed a preference for the new - who certainly voted amongst the five who contributed to the poll, which shows zero "No" votes so far.

I think this low poll participation is not that people are apathetic, reactionary or die-hard supporters of Ned Ludd, instead, I believe the poll may be interpreted as a vote of (dis)loyalty for our present administration - wrongly, in my opinion.

Nick made a strong statement against following up on Tony's initial offer. Certainly, his opinion carries weight here; he is regarded, rightly, with enormous respect and affection for getting this association up and running and keeping just the right amount of hands-on to maintain a fine balance of control and direction. The fact that he is prepared to continue that role even after selling Securus is a mark of his dedication and committment; his knowledge of things Trapper is a most valuable asset and we would be the poorer if he ever decided to move on - perish the thought.

So what Nick wants is okay by me and he is going to be the final arbiter anyway. Whether we stay as we are or move to a new format is irrelevant to the fact that we have an excellent group who are providing a sounding board of comment and help to us all, which is exactly what Nick intended when he set it up.

But it won't hurt to vote and it won't be a vote for or against the present administration, it will only be a vote to say which format you prefer.

Regards to you all. Brian.
