  • I love St. John's reaction to their shamefully low men's basketball 826 rating. Apparently they feel it's unfair to be penalized for the departure of four players under scandalous circumstances. Shouldn't the focus be on making sure you don't recruit those kind of students or allow that behavior in the first place, instead of discussing waivers because there are now actually consequences? Also, former coach Jarvis says that he's worried these new standards will cause players to take easy courses and major in eligibility - as if that's not already happening, as if most of these big-time coaches actually care about what happens to the players who don't go pro when they leave school. I'm looking forward to seeing some schools and coaches finally brought to heel. (NT) -- DamnRam, Thu March 24, 2005 13:51:15
  • We have our Hill skeletons in our closet too. We looked the other way for a while as Hill talked of the Fordham Drag and brought in "challenged students." (NT) -- Drag-less, Thu March 24, 2005 14:26:24
