  As we all know, the inmates believe they are running the PGP asylum (message board), and with the mods over there on what seems to be an endless leave of absence, it has become a place we hate to browse through....However, this weekend as I was strolling through the diarrhea of the inmates' keyboards, I came across this snap of Roger's Paul after his run in with the nut-job:
  
  
  

  And along with this picture were words describing his Paul as being proud of his crazy b!tch. Ahem....hold on while I throw up.......

  Now, over at the PGP cess-pool of insanity, I have seen spin - and accusations of spin - but this particular picture having that 'proud of the nut-job' spin thrown on it takes the prize! The booby prize, that is.
  
  Anyway, we all know that was NOT what Paul was thinking, and as proof that he was NOT thinking how proud he was of the infernal nut-job, we have posted the two snaps ahead of that one:

OK! I am back from a wonderful spring break with our grandchildren - all 3 of them spent all of last week with us! We had a GREAT time with them - but it meant I was not around the cyberworld - which I gladly sacrificed for time with them. How do I love to rant? Let me count the ways.....LOL Here goes....This show is barely watchable to me right now. I know it's not a new phenomenon, but can we please get some CHARACTER-driven storylines once in a while!!?? I have been watching this show in under 20 minutes (less if RH isn't on!). As much of a Nuke fan as I am, I cannot watch this train wreck they're about to enter with this "marraige". GMAFB!! As for the Paul/Meg stuff, let me get this straight....we've been watching them for over 2 years, and then it just fizzles out!? WTF?! • ....more....I am tired of seeing the same sl's done over and over. Paul gets into a life-altering (near death) situation. He does some major soul-searching. He changes, blah, blah, blah. Yet nothing changes, not really....Meg is still as stubborn as a mule, Paul hasn't really changed (someone tell me again why he hates Chris? his cousin?). As for Will, maybe he needs to be thrown from a cliff. I loved the line to Barbara about always taking Paul's side. There are too many new viewers who don't have the patience for long story arcs. Too many new (and old viewers) who immediately dismiss a Story if it doesn't follow the script they have in their head.       • I know I'm coming off as a half-assed apologist for the writers ... but GEEZ, I do feel for them. Think about what is going on backstage and Upstairs. The poor writers have to turn on a dime ... there can be no real long term planning like in the old days. AND it doesn't help that people seem to want Prime Time Production (that takes 8 or nine days for ONE episode) in a medium that is on 5 days a week ALL year long.

Folks don't seem to be happy with the slower moving character stories, anymore. I know I loved them and would love to see their return to my screen. I am from a more patient era of soap-watching, and mostly I don't get the online dissatisfaction with stories that take their time, and definitely have a payoff. It's just not how things are done anymore. I know the show is dealing with a lot of changes in cast and writers, and I do feel for those who try to write cohesively with all that swirls around them. Folks, it has been 10 years since Roger's Todd Manning pulled off his big D.I.D. (Disassociative Identity Disorder) HOAX on most of Llanview - and yet "Bianca" (yea, right....like we all don't know who that really is....LOLOL - Wink!) has the audacity to ask this 'mentally challenged' question of Erika after all this time....Ya' just want to bang your head on your desk, don't ya'? (Erika handled it beautifully, though.) Roger had Todd let ALL of the audience in on his HOAX in the very beginning of it. Oh, he was brilliant in his portrayal of Tom, Rodd, Miss Perkins, Pete, etc., but he always made sure we knew he was FAKING. Read what Ms. Slezak said!!! It boggles the mind that there is still someone out there with this mindset that the storyline was *turned* into a joke....SHEESH! For Todd it was a 'joke' from the very start. The DID was NEVER real! It was never meant to be real, either.

What is NOT surprising, is that the current Roger/Paul haters have tied their wagons to folks like this one. All of those who 'wished' the DID was real, also ended up hating Roger's Todd....they wanted him dead - they wanted Roger fired - they said he was phoning it in - they said he looked bored - they said he didn't want to be there - they said he didn't give a sh!t about them, so why should they give a sh!t about him....Sound familiar? Then you are gonna love the clincher - It was all said because he wasn't doing their gal, Tea....Still having trouble drawing that line from point A to point B? Nah....Didn't think so!

  What a great Show! From the heartbreak of seeing Paul's damage from Craig ... through Paul's emotions and interactions with Sophie and Meg ... RH was superb! I'm really excited here, and can't wait to see what's going to happen. The Paul/Sophie scenes are sweet ... but is some bitter going to be added? The same for Meg. Her talk with her Mama went a long way to try to explicate her (senseless) struggle with her feelings for Paul ... and the inevitable foreshadowing of a twist that is about to occur ... but POOP! Hey, guys!

Man ... I'm finally back online. It's been killing me that I haven't been able to post here, and 1)Rave about your snappies, TK! 2)Rave about RH and his Paul and ... (last but NOT least) 3) Talk to everybody about our guy.

Now ... I'm re-formatting my notebook, and it's going to take me awhile to reload all my applications, etc., so in the meantime I'm using a Vista Tablet piece of crap that is giving me fits. Bear with me. Not only don't I have my favorite Apps ... I gotta put up with a new operating system, a chiclet keyboard and odd touch stuff instead of a mouse. I'm lucky I'm halfway typing at all. Groan.

Anyway ...

Things that have made me go ... hmmmm?

So. Lucinda realized that Craig was the "deus (in) machina" behind Dusty's murder. Makes sense. Too bad the writing wasn't more clear about him being the cause. People will argue about this forever, now. Sigh.

And speaking of the Craigster ... well, good to know that I was never off base about his feelings for Meg. Like Tina sang "What's love got to do with it?" ... nuttin' as far as Craig was concerned. Meg was his tool to get at Paul, his posession, his fall back position for redemption and THEN when she "betrayed" him ... his throw-away toy. Wasn't his grief and regret so apparent when he took off his wedding ring and smirked? Yeah. I feel justified. Craig left smirking with the knowledge that he was putting Meg in a miserable position ... even though Paul survived Craig's attempted murder.

And about that murder attempt.

Craig is just da Man, hey? Yeah ... it takes a lot of balls to rig a car. It's soooooo manly. What a real man is allllll about. Geez. Frickin' coward. Couldn't even have a real confrontation. I'm surprised Craig didn't use poison ... the popular woman's choice for murder.

And speaking of women and murder ... good to see that Spread'Em-ily could have cared less about Paul's physical condition ... except as to how it related to her and the Intruder. The only devastation she would have shown, I guess is if Paul would have inconveniently died ... and the Intruder deal with him would then have been dead. Dead. heh. Man ... the loon is one self-centered, self-involved piece of crap. Well, why show any human decency about Paul's condition when there is the Intruder to puff up about ... Chris to glare at ... and Sophie to put at the top of the loon's Vendetta list.

Paul's condition was what, fourth on her list? Really, much further down ... but I'm just counting her immediate reactions. Pissant.

And ... speaking of human decency, I'm glad that Sophie sat with Paul. She doesn't even know him but I'm glad that she is that kind of a person ... and kind. Paul was scared and alone (and who wouldn't be?) and he needed that.

Because ...

Meg booked on him. She disappointed me ... regardless of her anguish about doing so. But you know what? I'm going to break the fourth wall here, and say ... what's new about the Show using Meg as a plot piece to UNrealistically propel plot? People whine about how everyone props Meg? On the contrary ... Meg has been constantly written as a prop to UNrealistic plot dynamics. Fair's fair. People whine about Craig and Rosanna being written poorly and uncharacteristically ... but Meg is a different "prop"osition? Heh. I think NOT.

But man ... it's getting old.

And, even though I knew Paul was going to be ok (I'm spoilered. Both a good and bad thing. Sigh.) I'm still torn up about him being hurt. Wahhhhhh! And NOT amenable to him being hurt any further ... in ANY way. Nope.

I LOVE Paul (always have!) ... and I LOVE LOVE LOVE RH and his portrayal of Paul. Unlike "other" so-called "Real" RH's Paul fans ... that has ALWAYS been my constant ... and my compass on the Show.

RH just wow'ed me this week. From his amused contempt for Emily ... to his quiet resolve about Meg (with a side trip of adorable when he grabbed her belt and wouldn't let go. Hee!) And continuing through the horrific explosion and hospital aftermath and shock:

RH and his Paul ROCK ROCK ROCK ... MY World.

He had me on a rollercoaster this week. . .smiling as Paul "bumped" into Meg outside Java and then wouldn't let go of her belt; feeling so sorry for Paul as he left the farmhouse after being pushed away again by Meg (who can never make up her mind. . .lousy writers); holding my breath as he paused before getting into his car and turning the key; tears in my eyes as Paul went into cardiac arrest at the hospital. I still watch the "cabin" scenes from 2006 and IMHO it's an absolute crime that Roger does not have an Emmy for his work on ATWT. Today's show (2/13)...Roger was wonderful today. I love that they showed so many sides to "Paul" in one episode. He was intent on his goal, and got everything accomplished within an hour! LOL Got himself a job, found a way for Craig to leave Oakdale (w/o killing him), and spread some more love towards Meg. (Yes, I realize I left someone out! LOL). He looks terrific too. Those long sleeved shirts he's wearing are showing some serious muscles in those arms! Me thinks someone has been hitting the weights. I love SB ... but it was RH who rocked my world. Also ... I saw those scenes as definate foreshadowing. Craig kept sputtering about how Paul was incapable of change, incapable of being a better person ... while he, Craig, was a "changed" man. Uh huh. Cue the forboding violas.

        I want to see Paul TRIUMPH over Craig, too. It's time that Paul's sacrificial scapegoat stint comes to an end in this seemingly endless approach to Paul as the go to guy for Angst. Sorry - No Paul snappys from today. We had tornadic weather coming through, and our local weather man decided that TK was not going to get to clip today's show. :(

Thanks to Cataz, I did get to see what I missed.

I was glad to see that the show - AND Paul - remembered that he'd seen Ro sneaking back into her hospital bed, back when she was having her fake relapse moment. LOVED him telling her, "You're selfish and needy. Those are not virtues." Selfish certainly describes how Ro has been during this return - but it also addresses her behavior during MOST of Paul and Ro's story from the beginning. (I just watched the clip of her asking Paul to get involved with his father again - to help her with the whole Cabot/Jordan thing....which reminded me of just how selfishly she had behaved with Paul from early on in their friendship/relationship. Not to mention the whole leaving him high and dry thing...) These recent stunts of hers - letting Craig off on charges - keeping Paul from the truth about his baby - just drove home what Paul told her today.

And NOPE. I can't blame Paul for wanting to finish off Craig, either. Even Meg told Holden that she couldn't blame Paul, if he found out what Craig had tried/intended to do to his unborn son.

We are heading into a rough time for Paul....and Paul and Meg. Roger will no doubt slay with this story.

WOW!! Roger knocked it outta the park today! And Marie did, too! GREAT show! I saw everything I wanted to see, and heard everything I wanted to hear. LOVED IT!! (....Well, of course I am still anxiously awaiting Paul giving Ro hell for what she has wrought....but it's coming up really soon! YAY!) I still have every confidence that these two can work their way through everything that is to happen - they'd better!
