Subject: It was a custom build home and the new owners had already moved in, yet they opened their doors to hundreds of people. The house was very different and I ended up getting dizzy on the stairs and then again in the hallway on the second floor. Those were built with industrial metal grating to allow the heat from the sunroom (which included a sauna and a hot tub) to rise and heat the upstairs. It was a weird feeling to be walking down a hallway where you can see through to the kitchen and sunroom below. Too many stairs for my taste but it's always interesting to see what other people are coming up with
In reply to: Sandy 's message, "What a beautiful weekend!! On Saturday, we made it to 84 but the humidity and dew point were so low, it didn't feel anywhere near that warm. And since it was the second and last weekend of the Parade of Homes, we drove out to see the only other home I was interested in touring. It was a ways out in the country and is a geo-thermal home with passive solar and a garage roof that will accept solar panels in the future." on 12:26:55 pm, Mon, 10/22/07
