That story sounds eerily like my own.

A neighbor of ours let his boy walk their pit bull. This pit bull was known for hating horses and drug that boy down the road, past two pastures of horses, down to -my- horse.
Dusty was alright, of course. He's not afraid of dogs since the attack and has healed nicely. But what if he'd been a little girl?

My horse didn't get killed, but it's still a story that should not go ignored. We called animal control but they said they'd keep an eye on the dog and its owner, and did nothing.

Again, owner irresponsibility. The people had horses of their own, and the guy gave the dog to a boy to walk.
That's just stupid.

Anyway, El-san, I feel for you.
