  • IT's My Birthday....February 9th -- Histor, 20:57:39 02/08/08 Fri
Well Tomorrow marks my 25th year of existence outside the womb...YEAH!!! didn't think I'd make it this far, but I did...plus it marks the 11th year that I've been a shacker...weird, I've grown up here and now I'm one of the adults...hahahaha...truly the lowest level of HELL has now frozen completely in my honor...

  • Hello! -- Frank Aiden Ryan, 14:42:55 02/12/08 Tue
It's Frank Aiden Ryan, your friendly neighborhood Goth. I've had a good weekend. I've been called 'that excentric boy' behind my back by someone, and then a little kid called me 'Cottick' to my face. Wonderful!

It's the attitude, I swear. I hadn't dressed differently than I do normally. Allright, the long sweeping black leather coat is a dead giveaway. The long hair doesn't help. But twice in one weekend? That's new.

Or, it could be the Christians are taking over, FashionGoths have all morphed into Emokids and 'real' Goths are a dying race.

Then again, I have a reputation in my town. People know my sexual preference yet not my first name. That's slightly odd, don't you think? The rep is not because I'm a shameless bi-slut, but mostly because I stand out.

The main reason for this post? I wanted to share with you a sincerely beautiful song. 'Broken', by Sonata Arctica.
Those with sensitive ears needn't worry, it's a calm song. But very, very beautiful.

Comsie? Your opinion in particular interests me on this one.

  • Soooo burned out....ugh.... -- Comicality, 02:27:07 02/18/08 Mon

I had an extremely long weekend, and every inch of me is just 'aching' at the moment. I literally was starving earlier today, but stayed in bed for two whole hours without getting something to eat because I was just too tired and sore to move. Ugh, sucks. I don't get a day off until Wednesday, but I hope to really enjoy it....by doing practically nothing for hours on end! :P

Anyway, SPEAKING of Wednesday, I'm definitely going by the IRC chatroom on that particular day this week! So if you're brand new, or just one of the folks who always misses me when I stop by to chit chat, now you know when to find me!

I'll be chatting on Wed, 2/20, during the following times:

    From 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    And again...

    From 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Cool? These times are both on this coming Wednesday, and they are going by CHICAGO time (The most magical measure of time on the planet! Hehehe!) So no matter where you are in the world, whether you're an hour behind, or 14 hours ahead, stop by the chat during those times, and I'd love to meet ya! :) Everybody is invited! Both clothes and a level of sanity are optional!

    I'll seezya there!

  • Shack Trivia for VALENTINE'S DAY!!! :) -- Comicality, 15:22:16 02/14/08 Thu

I certainly hope you guys enjoy your day of hearts and all that...um...stuff. Hehehe! Even if you're having a 'fuck valentine's day' kinda day, embrace it and enjoy it anyway. :P

Look for both "Billy Chase" and "My Only Escape" to appear on the Library later on tonight. I should get off of work around 10:30...so some time before midnight. (Hehehe, I said 'get off')

    Ok, here's today's trivia:

In the story, "My Only Escape", Zack and Brody finally decide to spend some time together without the rest of the gang tagging along. Once they're able to be alone...what is the FIRST official question that Brody asks Zack?

I haven't had a chance to check the Shack for almost a month, so there were 3 new sections of GFD to read. I cried after the end. There is...such a lack of gay romance in the world. I didn't really know what that meant until I read Boy Meets Boy (which made me cry too :P) That book, and this website, both mean a lot to me.
    Thanks, Com.

    10 (a) 4    (B) 2     (c) 3     (d) 5     (e) 6     (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points.

OVER 60 POINTS:  Others see you as someone they should 'handle with care.'  You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant.  Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS :  Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones.  They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure.

They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS:  Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go to their head.  They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS :  Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical.  They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest.  Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return.  Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS:  Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.  They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.  It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS:  People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything!

They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist.  Some people think you' re boring.  Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

I don't really like talking about this stuff because I get really awkward about it.

Basically, my boyfriend and I were together last weekend, and we were 'fooling around', and - at the risk of sounding pretentious - one thing lead to another, and we were basically about to have sex. My boyfriend's, how should I say, rather well endowed in the girth area of things.

Long story short, we were trying for a very long time, and it wouldn't work. We used lube, we tried loosening; in the end, we only managed to get about an inch in.
It wasn't the pain or anything, it just wouldn't physically go in.

Just a note, it was only my second time as a bottom. My first was with another guy quite a few months ago, and he was a lot smaller, so I'm not really 'stretched'.

I also realise that I sound like a complete idiot writing this. I was just wondering if anyone has anything to suggest?

You can also just mock me. That's cool too.

I am passing this on to you because it definitely
works, and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace.
Dr Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished." So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates.
You have no idea how fucking good I feel right now.

I am still in the middle of a big 'change' here behind the scenes as far as 'Comsie-Work' is concerned, and that's gonna take the rest of the week. But don't think that I forgot about ya!

Besides, message boards and emails are a pleasant break between periods of insanity! Hehehe! So, here is this week's trivia question! How's THIS one for a curve ball?

In the story, "Whispered Words - Remixed", the main character falls in love with a boy named Nick that works in the same restaurant with him. Three part question:

    1) On his first day, Nick rushes into work late. What time does he come in (exactly)?

    2) How many times did Nick have sex with his first boyfriend?

    3) Do Nick and Jess ultimately stay together in the end?

You've gotta get all three questions right! So give it a shot! :)

Ok...I want to ask a question, and if you've heard anything, please give me an honest answer. Cause I'm kinda curious as to where this came from.

I've been answering emails the last day or two, and there is a pretty big 'rumor' going around that I'm now getting asked about more and more as I go on.

Have ANY of you heard anything about me making a movie version of "Gone From Daylight"? Like...an actual, big screen, big budget, film about "GFD"?

Because the questions I've gotten have been pretty specific, and often from different sides of the globe entirely. And it's not just, "It would be cool if this was a movie!"....it's more like, "I heard..." and "Someone told me..." and "Is it true that..." which has gotten me curious.

So have any of you heard this rumor? Let me know. And you don't have to mention any names or anything, but if you can, let me know where you heard this. So far, the biggest confusion has been because the Cranberries evidently have an album called "Gone From The Daylight", but that's been it. This "GFD" movie talk has got me wondering if maybe I'm the last to know about this. :P

If it were up to me, and someone like the Wachowski brothers wanted to do a big screen trilogy, I'd DEFINITELY say yes!!! (Besides, they're Chicago boys! Psh! How could I say no?) Hehehe, I'd grin for the rest of my life, I swear! But as far as actual 'plans' of me officially licensing the story out to be made into a movie...it hasn't happened. Scout's Honor!

ok a quick question I thought to ask you all... some people have certains restrictions when it comes to sex, they prefer to wait for a real boyfriend before doing certain things, it's sacred for them. For others it's all ok, they're able to just let go

Now is there any sexual acts that you reserve only for your special one ? For me my butt is reserved only for my boyfriend... (still single btw) it's a sacred thing, him entering me is allowing him to know me inside out that's for me...

how about you guys and girls ? Is there anything that is sacred when it comes to sex for you ? Do you reserve yourself for certain acts waiting for that special someone or you can let go whoever the person is?

In the "Blood Bank" exclusive story, "GFD: Nightfall", the main character, 'Cylance', goes out to a night club called the Meat Locker to murder two of the vampires responsible for crossing him over into darkness.

    1) What were the names of the two vampires he was coming to take his vengence out on?

    2) What extra little 'weapon' did he bring with him from the Talbot house? (No...it wasn't his twin sabers!)

  • Hey Frank...I found ya one! :) -- Comicality, 06:09:04 01/28/08 Mon

I was at work on Saturday when he came into the store. He was DEFINITELY your type! I actually thought it was a girl at first until he spoke to me (really deep voice for someone his size). He was one of those strange specimens that would look 'ok' as a girl, but is gorgeous as a boy!

He was about 16 or 17 years old, hair dyed jet black, light blue eyes, rail thin, black mascara, tight grey jeans and a spiked belt. The second I saw him, you were the first thing I thought of. If I see him again, I'll box him up and mail him to ya! ::Nods::

  • Ok no this some kind of international poll I guess :) -- Icedragon, 06:43:30 01/27/08 Sun
Further down I read a thread, about US laws about legal consent and stuff. And somebody said, that Netherlands or europe is his "legal Promised Land"...
I live in Germany, and recently we had a few changes in our law... We aren't allowed to smoke in bars anymore (like most other countries in europe), government is allowed to search our computers over internet and log our internate traffic and ips and everything, and other very disturbing laws are being discussed, or in the making...

I honestly think about leaving germany, maybe even europe! So when i read about people talking about leaving USA for similar reasons, where the hell can i actually immigrate to?
Is Canada cool? Or Australia, New Zealand,... what are my options?
Oh, and if your from germany or europe (and if you are not, you can still answer ^^): What do you think about the changing laws, and the general political direction the European Union is going?

Im really honestly interested in all opinions... for its really really worrying me...
    Thanks

  • (joke) A woman's garden -- mattykins, 04:32:18 01/29/08 Tue
A woman's garden was growing beautifully but the darn tomatoes wouldn't ripen. There's a limit to the number of uses for green tomatoes and she had tried them all.

So she went to her neighbor and asked, "Your tomatoes are ripe, mine are green. What can I do about it?"

Her neighbor replied, "Well, it may sound absurd but here's what to do. Tonight there's no moon. After dark go out into your garden and take all your clothes off. Tomatoes can see in the dark and they'll be embarrassed and blush. In the morning they'll all be red, you'll see."

It sounded strange, but she was very tired of green tomatoes, so she gave it a try.

The next day her neighbor asked how it had worked.

"So-so," she answered. "The tomatoes are still green but the cucumbers are all four inches longer."

ok an easy question this time...

In all the stories Comsie... what is your favorite read ?

ok I guess it is real easy... let's make this a bit tricky if you decide to put an answer like NKIS, GFD, class by himself, billy chase, ect... any series lol then you have to choose ONE particular chapter

as for me... it would be the 2nd chapter of GFD, I laughed, I had tears in my eyes, I got aroused... just a wave of mixed emotions in one read

so what about you guys ?

oh and Big Comsie, I got a question for ya as well
you say you don't go back to read your stories but
which story did you have the most fun writing it ?

  • wht's up with everybody? -- Casper (hm....), 16:21:02 01/26/08 Sat
now i realize, the shack has rushes and lulls, but this is ridiculous. do you guys realize how much cool stuff is going on right now here? we've got speak week (with really good questions by the way!) AND shack trivia... and nothings happening.... it makes me sad, which is sad.
so i think everybody needs to pipe up a little bit and share a piece of their minds.
    as Sondheim says

"don't just shrug, content to be a conscientious slug. It's fine to to feel contented, safe and snug, but soon enough contented turns to smug, don't shovel what uncomfortable underneath the rug. speak up! get sore! do something more than just deplore."

    and now...
    we start.

I just wanted to thank whoever it was who brought up the "Skins" TV show. I just spent the last 6 hours with two of my friends watching Series 1 and I can't wait until the next episode comes out in Feb..

Just a quick question for people who have watched it... Who is your favorite character in the series? Mine happens to be two tied for first place. Chris and of course Maxxie. Sid comes in third. I love the facial expressions that he makes.

  • Shack Trivia For 1/24 -- Comicality, 23:33:06 01/23/08 Wed

Another Thursday trivia question awaits! Give it a shot! :)

In the series, "My Only Escape", the main character dislocated his shoulder during an angry attack from his father. He's forced to wear his arm in a blue sling afterwards, and aturally, his friends asked him what happened.

    1) What story did Zack make up to tell his best friend, Adam, about the accident?

    2) What story did he tell Brody?

Number your answers! Answers posted on Sunday! :)
