Subject: It's not a particular story that I am looking for, just "more" story, I feel story and character development as been sacrificed for "action". I want to care about these characters.

Even the latest Toy Story sucked. I loved the first three and was really looking forward to the fourth, and it was terrible. I hate to sound so negative, but that's what my experience has been.

For an example... Star Wars, I think the prequels and sequels have more of a story going on than the original three. I've never been a massive fan of the franchise, but I have enjoyed them all (although I have pictures of me as a toddler with huge teddy bears of Chewbacca, an Ewok and an E.T as well as a SW bed cover I must have really liked it to have my room all decked out like that :-)). Now though I find the original three were watchable. The prequels were really good, which ironically, the serious fans seemed to hate. Watching sweet little Anakin turn to the dark side, I felt like I had been taken on a real journey there. And likewise, with the final three movies, the journey those took me on was pretty good too. I think Disney's done a good job with the last three. :)
