Subject: This is a new TV documentary that follows the day to day lives of students who attend my old high school..

I wasn't sure whether to post it, because it's a little embarrassing, perhaps? It's in quite a poor area, and it's very working class and some the kids there are pretty feral, lol.

To put it into perspective, several kids in my class didn't even finish school before they were kicked out and forced to take up employment wherever would employ 14-15 year olds.

It's catching up with the school, because they filmed a documentary there about school life for kids in Yorkshire (England), about a decade ago, and it was surprisingly a big hit on national TV, in 2013. You can also find that on YouTube, too.

Amazingly, things looked like they'd got even worse when the first documentary was made, a decade ago. One of the kids featured in the show, is currently in prison for murdering someone. And two of the teachers were fired for having an affair together.

Though things do look like they've improved a little in this one.

I attended the school from 1995 to 2001. (age 11-16). We graduated from High school at 16, back then, with the option to go on to college, etc.

I lived a two-minute walk from the school and grew up in the village. Though I moved to Scotland about 15 years ago, and I've never been back to England since.

For fans of Star Trek, Patrick Stewart went to the school across town from this one.
