Subject: Just read that Robin Williams widow stated that he had the early stages of Parkinson's Disease and had become severely depressed as a result of the diagnosis. I love my life, it would be hard to fathom taking it, but I have also cared for patients with this this terrible disease and it is a horror. I pray he is resting in peace, this makes this death so much sadder for me.
In reply to: Cece 's message, "We spend our lives doing our best to stay alive and avoiding death at all costs. So it's so hard to imagine someone being in that profoundly dark place, where, despite all that he was and all that he had, he made that deliberate last act. He couldn't have realized how much he was adored by so many people, or how much he will be missed." on 14:56:30 08/13/14 Wed

I tell my kids all the time - I have a big bucket list of things I want to do - but if I get hit by a bus tomorrow that's okay I've lived a good life. Maybe that's what he was thinking -- chris k, 08:50:12 08/15/14 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> I've been thinking alot about Parkinson's disease since I posted last. One of the things that strikes me besides the total debility is that the persons ability to change their facial expression is affected. Can you imagine Robin Williams unable to smile??? How awful for him. -- mkim Can't get this out o f my head today., 13:53:52 08/15/14 Fri [1]
