Could Casablanca be remade? Of course it could. It could be redone to more realistic, better dialogue, on location rather than film sets, an actor much more handsome than Bogie, etc. But the reasons Casablanca is so much loved, and so iconic, are ephemeral. It would be like trying to capture lightening in a bottle. Casablanca is a movie of its time and place, its actors and the cadenceses of their voices, and of course, the famous lines that everyone knows. Those lines couldn't be repeated without sounding parodic. No Casablanca, no sequel . Just in our minds. -- HarmyBoard Entertainment
