Subject: How coincidental! I was just listening to Potts vs. Pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma earlier this evening because it is being included (instrumentally) in my kids' marching band show this fall.

Did you know that Turandot was Puccini's last opera. He died before it was finished. It was supposed to have a tragic ending, but when he died, the opera was given a happy ending with everyone singing Nessun Dorma again. The famed conductor, Arturo Toscanini conducted the first performance, but stopped before the "new" ending, saying, "Here the opera ends, because at this point the maestro died."

I'd love to hear your band playing ND. I hope you record it, and maybe I will get to hear it.
