I know how you only like happy endings (I'm the same way). I will tell you that since this is primarily a romantic drama, yes it has a happy ending. However, in regards to her sentence (she starts out as a thief, just like the JAG ep), that part is left ambiguous. Just thought I'd warn you to not get to caught up in the legal side of it, because that is not really the main point of the movie.
