The world was blessed to have Phyllis Diller around for *95* years. Bob Hope lived to be 100- who says laughter doesn't keep you young? Notice how all the great comedians of that generation live to a very old age? I grew up with them & will miss their humor. Sadly, I read where actor William Windom passed away at age 88, as well. Sigh....it's tough to know so many of the great ones are leaving us. -- Matou/Carol, 21:58:11 08/21/12 Tue [1]
You're so right, mj. Any "original trekkies" here will certainly remember William Windom as Commodore Matt Decker in the episode "The Doomsday Machine". I thought he was great in that, and was the first time I had seen him on television. And of course, as Araninda pointed out, his performance as "Doc Hazlett" on MSW. RIP William Windom. -- Matou/Carol, 20:53:35 08/22/12 Wed [1] |
