Subject: I did watch the old version, though I came in after the big Who Shot JR? frenzy. (Today, cliffhangers are just expected and no big deal.) I watched the new version, but I'm a bit fed up with the politically charged oil v green theme. How come it's the BAD guys that are drilling for oil, and the GOOD guys who want to make everything into a park? That kind of polar opposition (not to mention bias), on a complex, contemporary, and divisive subject, irritates me. So I don't think I'll watch anymore. (I do like the hunky young Canadian actor who plays Christopher!

I remember sitting in our college dorm rec.tv room with a lot of friends watching Dallas faithfully. We had another group that didn't like it or The Big Valley and tried to take over our nights. Learned how to disconnect the aerial in the main living room so it interrupted what they wanted to watch and we Dallas/ Big Valley fans waited for them to clear out and return to our regularly scheduled program.
