Subject: The M-i-L was on in 1967, two years after I emmigrated to Canada. In 1965, I thought US/Canadian tv was amazing as we only had two channels in the UK, (BBC and ITV). (Inside)

In Canada, we got I believe, 13 channels! Ozzie and Harriet (Nelson) and Gidget (Sally Field) were both still on. I got really involved with Peyton Place that was on twice a week. I hated it when it was pre-empted for Hockey overtime! However, most of my favourite comedies came later: Mary Tyler Moore, The Odd Couple, MASH, Barney Miller, WKRP in Cincinatti, early Cheers, Night Court, and of course, Seinfeld. One of my favourite offbeat dramas was St Elsewhere, and my fave romantic comedy was without a doubt, Moonlighting.
