Subject: They put them together when they still have a lot to work out between them and in their lives. It can only take one path on screen,fanfiction is good for showing all the other little nuances paths that can be taken. Marlowe tends to write things that can be worked out one of a hundred ways. Also it's fun to see and write reaction pieces to the previews before the episode airs.
