Author: The Chief.... The rest of the song is passable, and obviously some feel it to be powerful, but I wouldn't call it "important", except for Lennon's bank account.
Subject: Don't get bent, Theresa - just pokin' some fun. I spelled it that way on purpose. I don't like the accusatory tone in the first two lines. What have I done? I'm a mother of 3, what HAVEN'T I done? I don't need Mr. Lennon to look down his nose at me in a Christmas song fer cryin' out loud. Secondly, the "war is over, if you want it" is similar to the Hare-Krishna chanting at the end of "My Sweet Lord". (one-two, one-two; one-two, one-two... and possibly the same melody as well, but a slower).
In reply to: Theresa 's message, "Oh and where are the Krishna's? I only hear a Harlem boys choir singing "war is over if you want it"." on 10:31:40 12/10/11 Sat

I knew which one you were talking about as I have the Lennon anthology and that's the only Christmas song. -- Theresa, 23:30:07 12/10/11 Sat [1]
