Same here, judi. I only tuned in to the Grammys because I wanted to see how they were going to honor/remember Whitney Houston. I only saw the beginning, though- didn't see Jennifer Hudson sing, and did Chaka Khan perform at all? I figured she might sing "I'm Every Woman" since Whitney did her own cover of Chaka's song (You can even hear Whitney saying "Chaka Khan"! at the end of the song).Other than that, I couldn't tell you how many years it's been since I've watched the Grammys. I think in the 80's *maybe* some in the early 90's. -- Matou/Carol, 21:37:40 02/14/12 Tue [1]
(con't) I tuned in to see how many awards Michael Jackson would walk away with, and I actually knew and enjoyed *ALL* the music that was featured then.No fancy/glitzy stuff- just let the *artist* perform. I at least felt entertained then, instead of "distracted" by all the sets, noise, and bizarre hair colors or "face" nets! Sigh... I guess my age is starting to show.... -- Matou/Carol, 21:39:26 02/14/12 Tue [1] |
