Subject: I wanted to be a nurse, I was positive that that's what I was going to do, until my mid twenties. Just before I applied for nursing school, I started to wonder if nursing was really for me, then I decided to become a Medical Assistant, I thought if I could handle that I could handle anything. My first job was for a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He was part of a group practice that also had a PT group in the same building, as part of the group. The more I saw of the one on one patient care, and the positive aspect of the field itself, I was hooked.....Inside

It took another 10 years but I finally finished college and began my work, and I loved it. One of the other things that drew me in was the hours, I knew that if I got my nursing degree, I would really have no say in the hours I worked, at least in a hospital.Job's in a doctors office were hard to find. Most hired Medical Assistants or LPN's. With a husband at sea and two children, I had to know I would be there for them
