I talked to my husband , he is a contractor. Anyway he said to get Kilz out of carpet, you need to use laquer thinner, not paint thinner. Be sure to use gloves that crap burns. He has spilled kilz on carpet tons of times and this works. Dont dump it on the carpet, just dab it a couple of times with a rag, use a brush to bring up the kilz. It dries very fast so it won't ruin the carpet.

You should try taking step! It's a lot of fun and is very upbeat but not too aerobic to where you couldn't do it if you were pregnant. I'm not down w/ the whole Yoga thing either b/c it's just too slow and not upbeat enough to hold my interest. I take step 3 times a week and I've really toned up alot since taking it. There's lots of pregnant girls in my class too. (I'm talking 8 months pregnant!) There's a lot girls who are taking step too post pregnancy to lose the baby weight. So, it's an overall good workout for anyone! Check out your local gym, I'm sure they have classes. Good luck!

I am getting married in a few months and I've recently tried the Hoodia patch (I knew Oprah had talked about it and I heard you tried it). I bought 3 months worth of patches from a link I found on www.theknot.com. I was just wondering if it worked for you. Honestly, I am having major PMS so the 3 days I've been using it I can't tell if I'm just PMSing and it's not working or if it's not working at all. I'm starving all the time! A tip for painting over paneling: If you use KILZ to seal off the paneling you won't have to sand or worry about your paint pealing off later. I would use the Oil based kind. I painted my paneling a few years ago and it still looks great! Love your blog, have fun painting!

I watched the girls next door last night! I really like Kendra too and my gosh she has a nice body! Makes me want to get my butt to the gym. Must be nice to have a trainer there whenever you need one! I have an early morning job too and if I can ever find someone who offers exercise classes before 4pm it will be a miracle!

I work at Home Depot in Monroe La, you can go to the website and look at colors online, also they have sample rooms that you can "paint", Kellie can look at online also. That all really doesn't matter if you paint walls before he gets home on Monday. My dad had a little saying for me when I got married, let your wife decorate the inside of the house any way she wants so long as it is not puke green. You always have the garage. It has worked for me for 4 and half years, good luck.

I absolutely hate red, too! I just had my kitchen painted, though, and we decided to do one wall a reddish color. the color is by by Baer, and it's called Cinnabar. It's red enough that my husband loves it, and cinnamony enough that I love it, too! The other walls are also Baer, called Toasted Grain. When I moved into his house all the walls were white. I've done three rooms now, only a few left to go! Good luck! It's fun watching your house turn into a home that reflects both of you!

Girl...you do NOT need to cut your hair short. If you can't curl your bangs you will be crying with short hair. That requires more work and the ability and DESIRE to work with your hair. Just leave longer...put some permanent curls in it and go on.

Dianthe i enjoy reading your blog everyday b/c u and chris are about the only one that keep up with it and i appreciate that. Although i don't appreciate how you keep talking bad about Mario. I don't see where you get that he was cocky. He was definantly a better dancer. Although i loved Emmitt too. I think you have the wrong attitude about Mario and really i never knew you could be so judgemental. I also think Karina was great. She made sure Mario had his routine down and although she was tough on him sometimes that is what you need, a little bit of tough love. I think Mario deserved a lot more than Emmitt because it is suppose to be about who the better dancer is Mario was definantly the stronger dancer. Which all these compition are just popularity contest. I hope you reconsider your opinion on Mario because he is a really great guy and deserves credit for how well he did throughout the competition. I still love you though and thanks for always keeping your blog up and please don't take anything i said the wrong way.

YEAH!!!!! GOOOO EMMITT It was sad I was praying for Mario to loose (he's soooo nast ) And I won a bet with my mom over who would win. She just new Mario would because he was a better dancer ----- well duh he's had training - if you ask me that just makes him a cheater ( not like we didnt know that already eeeewwwww ) The game wasnt about who had training it was about stars who had no traning comming out the gate kickin butt LIKE EMMITT. It will be an on going fight in our family. Also did you notice how when they were getting marios looser speach they cut him off mid sentence!!! that was soo great , I really think he did him self in saying he wouldnt do the tour... That was just stupid who dose he think he he is Brad Pitt please he's lucky to have been called for the show in the first place. Also did you notice the song they played for Sarah evens dance ?? That was so crazy she shouldnt have come back if you quit then you quit she didnt get eliminated like every one else did. Before you go buy all that expensive wallpaper removal stuff, let me give you a tip...Go to the Dollar Store & get the cheapest fabric softener they have & apply it to the wallpaper. Let it sit awhile & the wallpaper will peel off super easy! Good luck!

Dianthe...you SERIOUSLY need to get the dog out of your room. It's not healthy to sleep for only two hours a night...that may be one factor that is causing you to gain weight. Put the dog in another room....you need your sleep!!

For those of you who do enjoy working out....I have been on a diet since July 1 of this year (and I have NEVER been one to want to workout)....I am counting calories and fat grams,etc.....however.....I purchased the DVD Turbo Jam and work out every other day doing the cardio and tone and sculpt with Chalene Johnson (for the first 1 1/2 months I worked out 6 days a week).....I have lost 38 pounds as of today (and it has only taken me 2 1/2 months)....lost 10 inches in my waist....6 inches in my hips...and so on....I have dropped 5 sizes and feel absolutely great....no one can believe it (including me)....I now only have 28 lbs. to go.....

Now Dianthe....I know you have said you don't really like to workout....however....the cardio is only 20 minutes...it is quite a workout but it is totally worth it and with as small as you already are....it would just melt off of you....

Also...in the beginning I was taking Hoodia faithfully....and yes ladies...it does work!!!...I only stopped because the workout is doing it's job!!!

I too watch a ton of TV! We have 2 tivos! What did I ever do before Tivo! One show I can't believe you don't have is The Biggest Loser! I'm not overweight, but I love this show! It's leaves you with such a good feeling to watch these people succeed in losing a ton of weight! I highly recommend it.

I also like Justice, which usually comes on Monday nights, but it doesn't appear to be on the next 2 weeks. Not sure what's happened to it.

If the paneling is dark, use a coat of Kilz first, then apply your color coat, that way you only have to apply one or two coats of color to cover the paneling. We did that, and it looks great. Of course we used a lighter color (over dark paneling) so if you are going to paint a darker color, you may not need the Kilz.

If you are looking for a "big" dog I would suggest a boxer. I too always wanted a pit bull, and have known some great ones in my time, but I have also known some bad ones that started out great. They are just too unpredictable sometimes and I have 3 small kids and well, it was just better that we didn't go there. So a friend of mine talked me into a boxer and we got one! Paris is now 7 months old and I LOVE her! They do require alot of time and energy, but are great great great companions and tons of fun to play with....and the best part is, they ADORE children and are very protective over them! Anyway, if you are interested, I learned all my info about boxers on www.boxerworld.com (I'm not promoting or anything, it's just a great site with all the info you'll ever need about boxers!)

if you want to read a good chick lit book, i suggest anything by meg cabot that's not the princess diaries series...she's a very unique voice with such books as "the boy next door," which i absolutely loved..and i'm certainly not a typical chick lit fan..not in the least :)

Prince Bringing Purple Reign to Vegas

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Prince fans, fire up that Little Red Corvette and head for Las Vegas: the purple one will be performing there every weekend starting Nov. 10.

The diminutive rocker will play Friday- and Saturday-night shows at 3121, a nightclub inside the Rio hotel, spokeswoman Alissa Kelly said Wednesday.

Tickets for the 21-and-over shows cost $125 and will be available beginning Nov. 2.

Prince will also host Wednesday-night concerts at the club by other artists.

The Grammy winner, who once changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol, will perform at the club indefinitely, Kelly said.

Prince joins a growing contingent of songsters who have settled in Vegas hotels as regularly featured acts, including Celine Dion, Elton John, Barry Manilow and Toni Braxton.

Taking Charge of your Fertility is a great book to read. I admit that I skimmed parts of it and never finished the book, but it is good to read and understand what is going on with your body. Also, if you chart, your doctor will have more complete data and will 'intervene' sooner if getting pregnant is taking a while. I used http://www.fertilityfriend.com to track my temps and my doc was so happy with my organized data! When it was taking a while, she could look at my charts and get so much more information and see if we were doing 'laundry' at the right times. Stick with it! I did and now I'm 9.5 weeks pg!

I enjoy reading your blog, and the fact that you tell what's going on and your feelings... I don't know ANYONE who never complains.. and I find it highly ironic and amusing that the folks on here are complaining about your complaining... it's just a big, sunshiney circle!

Anyways - just thought I'd shoot a ray your way. By the way, for those reading this... I was in a contest a year or so ago where Dianthe and Shannon would call our cell phones many times daily between 6 am and 10 pm, if you didn't answer, you lost.. anyhow, I was one of the final 3, and I spoke to Dianthe MANY MANY times... and she is really sweet and down to earth, she didn't make a quick call and say - "great, you answered, you're still in the contest"... she spoke to me like a friend, asked how my family was, talked about the issues of being a step-mom... etc...

So in my opinion, all the D haters are outta their damn mind... I love ya! :)

Since he has everything, it is always very hard to buy for them. My dad is the same way; however, a few years ago I got him an engraved money clip. You could get that for him and have it engraved with a sweet message or something. My dad absolutely loved that gift and wants a new one for Christmas since his broke.

I had the same problem with my husband's 5oth. I decided to take him on a offshore fishing trip. I realize that you would need more time to plan it, but my second idea was a parachute jump. I will save that for next year. I believe there is a place in Gainesville, Tx that you can call. They will do a tandem jump. Just a thought.

Hey Dianthe,
Go ahead and get your tooth fixed. The insurance will be retroactive to the date of the marriage and cover everything that has happened and expenses incurred since that date. However, most insurances require notification of a life changing event and insurance changes within 30 days of the date of the event. So if you and Kelly waited over 30 days from your wedding date to add you to the insurance that may be a problem.

Hey girl I had the same thing happen to my car also when I was at a gas station well it turned out that the station that starts with race and ends with track : ) had a problem with their pump and it put air into my tank I kept having the same problem of breaking down and what not then my hubby(that is a nice thing to have for the cars) went and bought this fuel treatments and sure enought I've had no other problems. If you go to autozone or have Kelly go (that is his job afterall) and tell them you need to clean your engine they will hook you up. Love your blogs you and Kellie do the best jobs with them. And congrats on the new life !!!!!!!

Hi Dianthe! I just wanted to comment on your car problems. I had the same thing happen to me not too long ago. I took my car in three different times to my mechanic to get all of the electrical system tested and they could not find ANYTHING wrong with it! I also took it to Sears where i bought the battery about 6 different times. Come to find out, my battery posts were loose and because of this, the battery was not able to keep a charge. Therefore my car would just die. This was a minor $16 repair. I hope you will be as lucky!

You can send a text to your hubby's blackberry. Just do it like you normally do, I am assuming the blackberry is his phone. He can also send a text back to you, he should have an option on his e-mail box that says Compose SMS, that is how you send a text to a mobile from the mighty Crackberry...tell him to be careful, than thing is addictive!!

I honestly think that men are taken aside when they are in high school and told that once they get married, wives will handle everything for them. My husband refuses to call anyone back if it is related to a bill or something of an important matter. And I completely understand your internet thing. Dianthe,

There are a couple of things I dont understand about your traffic stop.

#1. If you did indeed change your name with your insurance company...why didnt you at least have the old insurance card with your maiden name on it. I mean, isn't the ultimate point to prove that the car is insured--and would not even the old insurance card have done that? I mean, I really dont see why any vehicle in the world would ever not have proof of insurance at any given time.

#2. Why did you even have your old license with you? If you had it with you for the use of it, then why did you cut it up? If you cut it up, then why would you present it as your license? It seems like they are mutually exclusive situations, yet you felt the need to "present" the old cut-up one, and the new paper one--both of which do the same thing----prove you have a driver's license. I dont get this one either.

I love your blogs--I appreciate your mind--I admire your candor. However, I don't think the stars were quite aligned in your favor on this one. Maybe there were details you left out or something???

First off - I have been married for 7-1/2 years, and yes - they do change. I remember thinking, "Where did the sweet, do anything I want, boyfriend go?" It does get better, but not to be a downer - but year 1 was good, year 3 was good, year 2 sucked for us. Just remember that.

Good luck with your diet. No matter what you do, they are always hard. It requires a lifestyle change and that is always hard for those of us who love those "comfort foods". Be encouraged though - I have been doing Weight Watchers since June and I have lost 31 pounds. It has come at a cost (eating differently, going to the gym, not getting to eat as much of everything I want), but it is definitely worth it. You will do great!

Ok, you totally got me hooked on Hef's Girls. I just dont get that entire dynamic, so I went looking for the Bunny Tale book as well. Half Price on NW HWY does not have it yet bc I checked, a little ashamed to admit this out loud. But the other show for wierd relationships is Gene Simmons Family Jewels on A&E. It shows him and his "wife" Shannon Tweed and thier two kids. I have totally got hooked on this show. I always assumed that since she is the Queen of Skinomax movies she didnt have a problem with his philandering but that definately isnt the case. Yall should check it out.

I saw your wedding pictures and they were great, I like the idea of a picture booth for guests. Your photographer oviously has a good eye. I do have one comment, there does not appear to be many (if at all) traditional wedding pictures. Was it by your choice or is it that your photographer does not do traditional shots. I would have loved to see a full shot of your dress from behind. Your dress looks gorgeous (not too girly). Congratulations, and don't ignore your new hubby too much watching all those TV programs.

Why can't I look at your pictures on the web site? The front pages comes up and when you click on it, it can't find the pages. I want to see them! You look so pretty, and I wish you years of happiness!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to tell you I am so happy for you. I have been patiently waiting for you to get back and fill us in on your wedding. This wait is killin' me!! I was so excited to get back to work Monday to see Dianthe's wedding pictures, and then I read that she wouldn't be back until Wednesday. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to pieces she is able to take a nice long honeymoon, but it's freakin' killin me!!! I need details!!
