 Free Speech for High School students does not protect them if the school feels it effects the learning environment adversely. Supreme Court ruled that. (Gasp...they restricted someones free speech) Principle gets to make that decision and challenging him in court would be a waste. I agree she should not have to apologize. A side note, Clinton was told he sucked by a bystander who was arrested, charged and convicted. So all you unlimited, unfettered, unrealistic free speech crowd, try that one on.
