He shifted a little closer, his hand shifting to wrap the blanket tighter around her as if, if she was warm, everything would be better and it wouldn't hurt her so much that he was leaving. "...and I am not going to to blow..." He shook his head, his jaw clenched. "You know I can't talk about what I do on these missions, Reese but I can't just get out of them either. Like I said, it's my job, and you'll be ok with Haylie..." He really did hate to leave her like this, it tore him apart. Never before had he had anything that he needed to come home for but the thought that he might not make it home from this mission to her...well it scared the shit out of him. He didn't want to make her scared that she would lose her too but he couldn't mention Keegan, he couldn't say that he wouldn't leave her because damn it, he didn't know.
