(She felt the same mixture of tears and frustration welling up to choke her, and for a moment she was silent, watching him with furrowed brows and confused eyes. Part of her wanted to rage at him, to tell him that he couldn't go, because.. well, because she said he couldn't.. But the other part of her recognized the need in him to do his job, it was the same honor and loyalty that she was attracted to, and even though it scared the hell out of her to know he was leaving.. she had no choice but to accept it. She just didn't know what she would do if she lost him too.. that was where it stuck in her throat.) I just.. don't want you to go. (She admitted, looking down at her lap and sighing, then bringing the edge of the blanket up to cover her face so that he couldnt see the pain in her face. He didnt need to feel guilted, that wasn't what she wanted.. she just wished she were strong enough to let this happen without hearing the officer tell her that her brother had been killed in the line of duty.. and now she was hearing those words with Braden's name inserted. Who would be there for him when he had his nightmares? Who would be there in the morning to make coffee? To ask him how he felt after work? It just wasn't fair.)
