Date Posted: 10:37:54 01/14/14 Tue Park Ridge (Ill.) Maine South offensive tackle Brendan Brosnan has flipped his commitment from Vanderbilt to Penn State, his head coach David Inserra confirmed with 247Sports. The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Brosnan is the third pledge for head coach James Franklin since coming to Happy Valley from the Commodores program. "Big, big reason is Coach Franklin," Inserra said. "We believed in him at Vanderbilt and what he was doing at Vanderbilt and what he was building, and when coach Franklin left, we were hoping he'd be interested." Brosnan is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 79 offensive tackle. He is commit No. 22 for Penn State in the class-of-2014. "He hasn’t been there yet but everything about the football program, tremendous academics school, beautiful campus, he's set on following Coach Franklin and playing in the Big Ten," Inserra said of the reasons Brosnan is a Nittany Lion.
