My take: -Gravity: First 20 minutes were really well done, the rest of the movie was meh. I saw it on IMAX/3d and it was visually pretty impressive. -American Hustle: I don't dislike it as much as Joe, but I wasn't very impressed by it. I thought Christian Bale's performance was terrible. It seemed like David O. Russell just had a bunch of actors whom he likes working with goof around for a couple hours (I read that they improved a lot of scenes). I liked Louis CK's limited role. Amy Adams' outfits were spitting fire though. -Nebraska: I enjoyed this movie; Bruce Dern and his wife were really good. I did have a little trouble taking Will Forte seriously in a non-comedic role. -Dallas Buyer's Club: I thought it was well-done. McConaughey was great. It was a little slow-paced and slightly too long (pet-peeve of mine) [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
