Date Posted: 22:39:27 03/18/14 Tue Hey guys! I'm really excited about March Madness! I was pumped to check out Nate Silver's 538 blog regarding the tournament but it turns out statistics just prove that the higher seed is just more likely to win every time so I'm just gonna go all chalk BABY (tm Dicky V) and hope that maybe that happens one of these years. I just have not followed college bball too much so as Vert said, this is just a lotto ticket for me. I am in Northeast MD/DE for work this week. I was supposed to be in DC today but got snowed out. Will be spending time with the client here until Thursday afternoon when I will fly to St. Louis and be picked up by my KC buddies for a previously planned guys weekend. The work trip got dropped in last week so it muddy the waters a bit. Especially since when I get back Sunday, Amy will already be gone for her 5-day work trip, only to return for a few days to then leave again for another 5 days for a girls trip! Lots of solo parenting b/t the both of us for the rest of this month. In more fun news, WIll starts "soccer" this Sunday! It is his favorite sport right now besides playing catch with a ball. He kicks a soccer ball for approximately 10000 hours straight when we go to the park. We took him to the Sporting KC (defending MLS champs) home opener on Saturday and he seemed to like watching (he really hated not being able to "go down there and play soccer" like everyone else). This makes me excited b/c he also enjoyed watching skiing during the Olympics so hopefully he's slowly turning into a sports watching zombie so I will have a sports watching buddy, like I hoped. Not much else going on. Plowed through House of Cards and other than some weird shit, YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, it was an entertaining watch. Hoping to plow through True Detective and Orphan Black next. Vert, how the hell did you get that trivia gig? And at the American Legion?!! That is asking for more details so please provide. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
