heaves is right. psu landed yet another recruit this weekend. it's almost comical at this point how good franklin et al are at recruiting. i'm almost numb to it to be honest. i doubt psu stays #1 for too long but it's not a stretch to say they'll end up with a top 10 class and possibly a top 5 class when all is said and done. more details below.

Four-star defensive tackle Adam McLean has committed to Penn State State. McLean is visiting Happy Valley today for the Nittany Lions annual spring game.

McLean is ranked the No. 1 player from Maryland according to the 247Sports Composite. Penn State State now has 12 commitments for the 2015 class, nine of which are four-star recruits.

on being the #1 class...

Three months.

That's all it took Penn State head coach James Franklin and his staff to build the top football recruiting class in the country.

The Nittany Lions moved to No. 1 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings following a commitment from Bethesda (Md.) Quince Orchard four-star defensive tackle Adam McLean before Penn State took the field for its annual Blue-White Game.

With 201.97 points, Penn State moved ahead of Alabama and Texas A&M in the team rankings.

McLean's commitment gives the Nittany Lions 12 commitments for the 2015 class, nine of which are 247Sports Composite four-star recruits.

McLean becomes Penn State’s highest ranked commitment for this class. He’s currently No. 111 in the Top247 and rated the top player from Maryland in the 247Sports Composite.

Franklin and his staff have also secured commitments from the No. 1 player form Indiana in linebacker Josh Barajas, the No. 2 player from New Jersey in wide receiver Juwan Johnson and the No. 3 player from Pennsylvania in running back Andre Robinson.
