yea, we know to grab the dog and the kid (if we have time) and head to the basement. i've already put a few candles/flashlights down there with some extra batteries and matches. the beer fridge is at the top of the stairs so i can grab essentials if i need to.

i've been told that tornadoes sound like freight trains if you're close enough. this was confirmed by a family friend of ours who waited one out in a decommissioned walk in freezer a few years ago with a bunch of coworkers. good times!
