Charles
I try not to be flippant about such serious things. Also, my writing and poetry tends to be a little dark sometimes, and I think that part followed me home from Da Nang.

About what I wrote, I often tag a short silique that I am melancholy about with something I feel veteran-deep about. In this heavy matter, I heard veterans allude to their state of being by saying such as, "...guess there's not much left but to buy a gun -- or eat a bullet. Such talk must be stopped at once because it is a red-flag; a step down the path potentially towards suicide. As you know. 21-22 veterans commit suicide daily... every single day. And that is not acceptable. And that is why I dropped the last sentence-tag in that direction of potential hopelessness that could buy a ticket in the daily line.
If you care about a Veteran saying such a red-flag you can point out he went through worse in Vietnam and there are brothers in Group at the VA that can help. Plant the seed.
