I hear ya. THAT was the big line that was so secretive??
As much as we the fans have teased and joked about that very thing, I never expected it to actually happen.

I really, really want to know what the alternative line was if DD had not renewed his contract. How can we find out?

I'm disappointed. I was hoping for something more out there, more out of the ordinary. CC's pen has indeed run dry.

oh, and while I'm joining in the rant of disbelief, let me add how cheap it was to steal the thunder of Mulder's abduction with Scully's pre- peeerg - preggg- pregnancy, see I can't even type it.

The XFiles used to be about Fox Mulder. Now it is about Scully. And what we have here is two options. (1) S&M have been getting it on for a while, at least since "all things", thus Mulder is the father and he does not know about the pregnancy, oh I'm drowning in soapy soapy bubbles, or (2) Scully is pregrant by divine intervention, as hinted at by her statement of she doesn't know how, and AND by CSM's statement of there are no gods, they are the aliens, thus they are Gods. We have been set up in the past by her St.Scully-ness after all. oh _don't_ go there.. . unless she has an alien baby...

If you enjoyed this revelation, I'm happy for you. I, however, am taking a much needed hiatus from the XFiles for a while, esp. from season 7, while my Mulder is out there somewhere beyond the rainbow...sailing on to morning...
