If you get the reference within the reference...well, you're more in tune with pop culture than I am.

CO: Eh, nope. This has absolutely nothing to do with the Tony Awards. That's not really why it doesn't work, though. I guess.

Captain Lipstick: I like the idea of a drag queen superhero. But I really think you’d have to go see a drag show sometime (assuming you haven’t) to get the persona down. Honestly, it’s an art form, kind of like being a geisha is an art form. Not that geishas are like drag queens…anyway. This could definitely go farther.

Ned and the Doctor: Oh, the Parkinson’s crowd would have your hide for some of this…ha. Just sayin’. Anyway, it’s okay. I guess it’s been done before, but I haven’t seen it, anyway.

Now Hiring: Meteorologist: Great. Although I agree at the end, there should be something. Maybe not an actual hurricane, but perhaps a particularly strong gust of wind that makes tree branches hit the window, causing them to pause for a minute…

Beautiful Day: Also great. Maybe this could be a series of days, though? To separate each competition.
