(He liked the quiet ways that Haylie had when they were together like this.. the way she could speak to him without say a word. He knew that she appreciated his words and his sentiment and as she drew his arms around her, he pulled her in closer and lowered his head to kiss her neck softly, nuzzling the area there as he listened to the sounds of the monitors and the doctors voice. He didnt like seeing Shay in so much pain, but he knew from experience how amazing the human body was and how Shay would pull through this and be nursing her child and laughing in a matter of hours.. that didn't necessarily make him feel any better about seeing her in pain, but it helped him put it all into perspective and keep a relatively cool head when Remy was freaking out.) See you soon. (He said back and held her hand until the last second as she left, before turning to Remy and clapping his hands together.) C'mon soldier, let's get suited up and ready for deployment.. (He teased, heading over to where the nurses were and making a couple naughty nurse jokes as they helped him scrub up and get into a gown.) You couldnt get rid of me if you tried, sweety. (He murmured to her, lifting his head and gripping her hand as he felt her body tensing and sensed the next contraction.. now that the sedatives had stopped the blood rush to his head and calmed his nerves he was able to put his adreneline to good use and be there for her. His voice was a low rumble as he murmured reassuringly to her through the contraction, letting her squeeze his hand all she wanted to and all the while keeping his gaze intently on her. WHen she sank back afterwards, he brushed back her hair and dried her eyes and forehead, rubbing the back of her hand with his.) Not much longer now, baby. (He soothed as the doctor announced it was time to prepare. For the first time since they had left the White House, he actually laughed at Kyrian's words.. the older man had a way of making him feel lighthearted when the situation didnt hold much laughter for him. The excitement of it all hit him as he stood up, seeing his wife laying there and the doctors and nurses and his best friend's silly and somewhat raunchy joking.. he was going to be a father..) Be right back, beautiful.. (He said to her and leaned over to kiss her lips softly, before following Kyrian to where the nurses were.)
