Subject: The Bud&Harriet coupling was like the total opposite of Mac&Harm -- that is -- they were obvious, quick to get together, annoyingly cutesy, and everything worked out despite working in the same command. It seemed to be just a ploy to appease viewers that there was SOME normality to the likelihood of an 'office' romance. That scene with AJ and Mac also unnerved me --

what were the writers thinking -- it was so 'out there'?! Again, they had to find someone to appear like they found Mac attractive. Instead of making it the logical, appropriate choice -- Harm -- they sucked in AJ. Gross.I found the whole 9 years just so unbelievably unrealistic -- 3-4 years -- ok, but 9 years -- c'mon! It was another reason I almost stopped watching when Mac took up with Webb -- I found that coupling annoying. Really smacked of playing games with loyal viewers.

[> That's why they call it "Fanon". There's "Canon" - which is the basic facts and original meanings/intents. Then there is "Fanon", wihch is wishful-thinking on the part of the Fans/Fic-writers that they WANT to be Canon. Another example is that Harm is a die-hard vegan. He never said he was and there is no evidence to support it. Healthy eater, yes. No red meat? possibly. But Vegan? Nope. That's Fanon. -- The Chief, 22:27:13 03/10/14 Mon
