Deja Vu from season one, first shown on Oct. 21, 1995. The fifth episode in the series, we hear and see in flashbacks about Harm's 'trip' to Vietnam to look for his father. Do you think the story was believable? If he hadn't gone to Vietnam when he was 16 do you think he would have gone later, possibly messing up his chance to go to the Academy? What was it that drove Harm to look for his father, the fact that he was missing or was there another factor? Just a few questions to ponder while we remember back to 1995 and the excitement of a "new" man in our lives.

The way the character of Harm played out, it was very believable. I think it also gave him a different kind of bond and understanding with AJ. However, the story was given the short end of the stick. No Stryker popping up. No dealing with the aftermath of his experience, and of not finding his father and how that failure played into it all.

[> I liked this episode for the Harm flashbacks, but not so much for the Ambassador's wife and her nasty "chocolate". LOL I think we all wanted to learn more about Harm's excursion to the South Pacific to search for his father. Harm's search was not unique - there were a lot of families searching at that time, so Harm's story resonated with many. More Inside.... -- The Chief, 01:20:53 07/22/15 Wed

The brief story of Harm and Jym alluded to in this episode intrigued me. A 16 y/o American boy dropping into her life unexpectedly. A steamy jungle. Danger all around. All very intense. I decided to explore it a little via fanfic, so if anyone's interested, hop over to the HBX Archives, and find "The Orchid" under my pen name "Heather Aster".
