The first and last photos his mom looks so hurt. First finding out Harm Sr might be alive in Russia and then finding out her husband had a child while in Russia. The middle one she looks so happy, it was after she and Frank renewed their vows. I remember thinking 'I wonder how she felt finding out Harm Sr was alive and she had remarried'. I wonder if that whole story line is why Harm had a difficult time committing to someone. He didn't want to leave a wife with the agony his mom went through. "The ghost of your father has always been between us." and then he goes on to say, "Your mom needs closure as much as you do."

I've always assumed that the first sentence and the gesture were both meant to indicate Frank was referring to Trish, not Harm. So yeah, I think it's quite likely she struggled at times with the thought of having betrayed Harm Sr. Her own words were that she'd always held a little bit back, waiting for Harm Sr. And Frank either knew because they'd talked about it or could tell. That he never seems to have let it affect his commitment makes him an incredible man, in my book.
