Subject: SHOULD HAVE DATED WHO?

Harm and Mac dated lots of folks in the show while DPB kept them apart.

Some bothered me less than others. I sort of liked Jordan. Loved how Harm watched Annie in the California episodes but no real chemistry in DC. Hated beyond hated Renee.

Dalton Lown was just Eh and I really couldn't stand Mick.

But there are a few people I wouldn't have minded seeing them date instead.

Starting with - the policeman in Soul Searching. The one who wanted Mac to call him when she left the nunnery.

Does anyone else think he might have been a fun addition to the show from time to time?

Who else would you have liked to have seen any of the regulars date?

[> I think he would have been a nice change for Mac. There weren't many options for her. With Harm, I would have love to see him and Teresa Coulter together. That I think would have been a good match. I thought there was sizzling chemistry with Harm and Bobbi-would have liked to see that more than one night stand. There are many things I liked about Renee. I didn't like it when they made her this insecure whiner, but Harm's character really tried the hardest with her. Mrs. Smithfield could have been another nice match. Francesa and Alexei both had promise too. -- Alicia, 19:21:40 03/10/15 Tue

[> Being "Probably the Only Harm/Alexi Shipper in the Fandom", I often think about Harm and the Princess Possibilities ;-) Nothing ever came of the "deal" that was made at the end of Washington Holiday for Harm to be the legal representative for Romania joining NATO - as specially requested by Alexi. *inside* -- The Chief, 00:13:23 03/11/15 Wed

It probably would have take a couple years for the arrangements to me made. Alexi would have grown up some, and possibly spent a good amount of time thinking about Harm. In the intervening years Harm might have spent a few nights wondering what "might have been", or "what might be" when the trip to Romania would actually happen.

I could definitely see a relationship between the two. Maybe not one with permanent implications, but certainly a very spicy interlude. Just to get "it" out of their system, for sure!

I do have a story "in progress" about this, It's long and I've been fiddling with it for years. But my beta reader says it's good and I do want to finish it. Some day!

[> One more: Mac & Keeter. I think they would have complemented each other nicely, as they are both a bit "extreme". Mac extremely by-the-book, and Keeter extremely chill and goofy. -- The Chief, 00:18:03 03/11/15 Wed

[> [> [> [> Well... They may have been BFs at the Academy, but they'd not been in contact for a long time. I think Harm might have approved of it, actually, altho he would have given them his signature quizzical looks. LOL And Mac&Keeter would have been NOTHING like Mac&Webb. It would have been FUN, and Keeter wouldn't have lied to her. He might have said "I can't tell you" (since he was a CIA operative as early as S1 & "Smoked"), but he wouldn't have lied. -- The Chief, 21:51:23 03/14/15 Sat

[> I think the idea was for us to hate their significant others and it worked really well for me. LOL. I'm too much of a shipper to see anything else when it came to Harm and Mac. -- mkim, 13:37:45 03/12/15 Thu

[> [> I agree that Harm and Mac were meant to be - and there was so much that could have been played with that had they smartened up- a year of dating without telling anyone - a year of dating and finding balance and being engaged - a year planning the wedding - then newylweds fitting into the working relationship- then maybe a baby- could have gone on for years -they had the perfect chance in season 7 to put Harm and Mac together and let Jen and Gunny start to sizzle -- chris k, 20:21:34 03/12/15 Thu

[> [> [> [> especially midway last season when they got wind the show was going to be on the chopping block rather than wrap it up over a few months - and very likely rebuild the lost viewership- they went in a different direction that killed the show. Even though DJE hadn't signed on again - if they'd gone in a direction with her as CO and him off camera stationed anywhere - It could have 1. carried on forever like Norm's wife or CSI's one way phone calls to grissolm. Or 2- when his series wasn't picked up bring harm back -sigh -- chris k, 14:28:39 03/13/15 Fri
