JJ Boss: You say to fearyaks, "if what Mike Rumph exhibited on the field Sunday was a good game... then I'd really be interested in your version of a bad one."

My version of a "bad game" is what I saw Ahmed Plummer suffer. My version of a "bad game," is every previous game I watched this season that Rumph gave up one, two or three touchdowns. Painful memories...need I remind everyone?

I was going to be a smart ass and simply reply that, "I was "pleasantly surprised" because Rumph didn't get torched," but I actually saw him stick guys in run support, I saw him keep the receiver in front of him, and like fearyaks, I liked the break Rumph made on the ball that he nearly intercepted. It was aggressive...it would have been a nut buster for the Giants. Everyone likes to recall that Plummer ended the game with a near INT...but was Ahmed's defense really that remarkable on that play? Did he break on the pass? No! He simply had the sense to turn around...which he lacked earlier in the game. Not so for Rumph...he actually broke on the ball. That is a hell of a lot more than he did in the second half of the second Seattle game. Yes, I saw rumph get caught flat footed and the announcers made sure the rest the the veiwing audience did too. But, he didn't give up six on the play, which is a lot more than Plummer could say.
