• While you are allowed to be disappointed, I think it is a bit much to expect a sash/big trophy just because people choose to travel from interstate. I think one big Championship per state works best, as you are more likely to get all the interstate dancers at that competition, rather than spread over a couple of events. • I have to say as someone who danced in the late 90s and early 00's this is disappointing. Sashes used to only be given to top three at states and nationals - To get a sash was a HUGE achievement - now looks like every feis is handing them out. In regards to medals - this was your prize - again back in the day the medal was your prize... in a premiership again only top 5 would get trophies. It's sad we now feel we need to over award - what do our children aspire to? I remember working for YEARS for a solo sash and it was such an award!
