• Definitely disagree with the first - not only would it eliminate more than half the qualified teachers in the country, it would grossly discredit the work, knowledge and effort that goes in to studying, preparing and passing these exams.       • I think it’s laughable that you believe having your teacher play the music at a Feis will somehow make it easier for their pupil to win. What exactly can a musician do that wouldn’t be obvious to the audience/other Teachers?         • Different tunes suit some choreography better than others, knowing which tune will be played for you at a feis and it perfectly matching your choreography is a definite advantage. And at the beginner level when kids are not yet used to dancing to unknown tunes it would be even more of an advantage to their beginners.       • I think it's (only just) ok to have dancer's first name on a dress, although I don't know why you would, as it gives the impression of cheating so why would you want that? • Change I would love to see is NO judges off the floor at majors, and if you do have to do this, only tell them just before section starts and not day before. Last year judges off floor sharing with teachers that they are judging "their" dancers section. Blatant favour pulling.   • Fair judging is impossible under the current method, no matter how many judges on a panel, rotating judges etc. The arbitrary awarding of one mark per judge doesn't work and makes it far too easy to favour dancers and dump others.
